We are supporting communities and schools
Our organization has supported communities and schools to access Adequate, Clean and Safe water
Over the years, our organization has supported communities and schools to access Adequate, Clean and Safe water through its harvesting and conservation. We do this through construction of Ferro-cement rainwater harvesting tanks in schools, protection of unprotected water springs and rehabilitation of shallow wells in communities. We provide knowledge and information support, Water and Sanitation, Hygiene advocacy through trainings and water testing.
Under Amkeni Wakenya, a UNDP led facility, we run programs in Western Kenya that promote democratic governance in Kenya. We engage groups and CSOs in the region to participate in Activities of Nation Building. We strive to empower women, people with disabilities and youth to be involved in democratic governance. Through this, we ensure that the aspirations of all Kenyans are taken into consideration in the democratization.
We engage farmers in effort to promote smart farming through soil conservation, farm input support and direct them on ways they would commercialize farming.
Our interventions cover five counties of Kakamega, vihiga, Nandi, Siaya and Bungoma. WEWASAFO is managed by an Executive director who is helped closely by a board of trustees.
