Humphrey Buradi
Humphrey Buradi is the Executive Director at Western Water and Sanitation Forum (WEWASAFO) a Non-Governmental Organization registered with NGO Coordination Board of Kenya on 22nd March 2007. The current operational area for WEWASAFO is in Western Kenya.
Humphrey is also elected to a senior executive position with Kenya’s National Council of Non-Governmental Organizations. He was sworn in for this position on February 11, 2011 in a ceremony at the High Court of Kenya in Nairobi.
He says he made the decision to stand for election so he could spend more time advocating for the rights of marginalized members of his community, most of whom are women and children.
“I now have the responsibility of promoting participatory citizens’ advocacy, by making people aware of their rights, and the obligation of the government of the day to serve their citizens,” he says
His vision for the organization is to enable the less privileged and marginalized members of the community to identify resource within and without the region so as to reduce both material and intellectual poverty, and create sustainable wealth.
