Jacqueline is the Executive Director of WEWASAFO, overseeing all programs and providing strategic leadership. Born and raised in Western Kenya, Jacqueline brings a deep understanding of local communities, their challenges, and opportunities. She began her career in education before moving into the NGO sector in 2015, where she quickly rose through roles in training, administration, and program coordination. With a strong background in gender, governance, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Jacqueline has led numerous community initiatives that improve access to safe water and sustainable sanitation. Known for her dedication to planning, coordination, and reporting, she is passionate about empowering communities, especially women and children, through inclusive development. Jacqueline’s leadership is driven by her vision of a region free from waterborne diseases, where clean water and sanitation unlock opportunities for healthier, more resilient communities.

Christine Luvandwa Mugambi serves as Deputy Director at WEWASAFO, leading operations, maintenance planning, quality assurance, and logistical coordination. Her daily work involves strategic meetings, staff coordination, field checks, and oversight of WASH projects. Christine has overcome challenges such as sourcing materials on tight budgets and considers successful project completion and empowered communities as her greatest reward. Her long-term vision is to see strong, self-sustaining Water User Committees and thriving school health clubs driving local development.

Wagaka Erick drives WEWASAFO’s programs from planning to execution. He leads stakeholder engagement with government, schools, and local leaders while overseeing field operations to ensure water and sanitation reach marginalized communities.
Since joining in 2016, Wagaka has overseen training, monitoring, quality assurance, and project mapping. His work spans spring vetting, water quality sampling, supervising construction, and community support. Passionate about leadership development and literature, Wagaka strives to ensure every community in Western Kenya enjoys safe water, sustainable sanitation, and hygiene.

Trainings Manager

Christine develops training modules for schools and communities to ensure sustainable WASH programs. She also mentors volunteers and student attachees into effective development practitioners.
Since 2018, Christine has focused on equipping committees, teachers, and youth with skills to manage water and sanitation long-term. She mentors young professionals in monitoring, reporting, and technical WASH skills, inspired by her own upbringing in water-scarce regions. Her mission is empowering communities to own solutions for better health and livelihoods.
